BIOGRAPHY

Charles Plétincx

Charles Plétincx, born on July 28, 2006 in Uccle, Belgium, is an artist whose approach to art is characterized by a deep connection with his inner world.
Diagnosed with dysphasia at the age of five, painting became Charles' main mode of expression.
His synesthesia, which fuses sounds, colors and shapes into a single perception, enriches this art and enables him to transform his emotions and impressions into works of great visual depth.

Thanks to his photographic memory, Charles has an incredible ability to capture and store mental images, like little drawers that he opens later when he starts painting.
What fascinates him above all is nature: its strength, its fragility, the almost magical balance that makes it both invincible and vulnerable. His canvases become interior landscapes where the paradoxes of human existence are interwoven, both tangible and subtle.

When you look at his work, you enter another world, a world that may not exist on the outside, but lives deep inside him. He explores the big questions of life, death, the sacred, things that go beyond us. His works are like bridges between different worlds, different eras. His interior landscapes are a reminder that, in a world that's always moving too fast, we sometimes need to stop and look inside ourselves. His paintings are both raw and delicate, a bit like him in the end: between light and shadow, visible and invisible.
